Every Sunday - gardening group meets at 11am at the Reception House for 1 hour
A monthly online nature diary is sent to members.
A monthly bird count (by invitation) is posted on the noticeboard and sent to members.
The active campaign to erect a memorial for Jeanne Deroin, activist and socialist, has reached its target funding and an order for the stone has been placed including a successful Spacehive campaign and a generous donation from the French Institute
We are currently working with the Council in applying for a Heritage Lottery Grant to restore 3 of our Listed buildings at risk
We are currently working with the tree officer to renumber and label the trees
The Peregrine Falcons on the hospital overlooking the cemetery are being studied scientifically by one of members who also authors the diary
Kids club nature adventure pinned on the main gates

24th April was judgement day for the Green Flag – it is a reflection of the Council’s management of our green space. Its 5 main aims are
To ensure that everybody has access to quality green and other open spaces, irrespective of where they live.
To ensure that these spaces are appropriately managed and meet the needs of the communities that they serve.
To establish standards of good management.
To promote and share good practice amongst the green space sector.
To recognise and reward the hard work of managers, staff and volunteers.
March - we planted 7 new trees with help from 'Red Squirrel'.
March - we led a walk and talk in the cemetery for volunteers at Charing Cross Hospital who wanted to know more about the cemetery.
February, we met with delighted young children from a local nursery and their teachers for a nature walk round the cemetery. For security reasons we can only show photos of the adults!
With our new website we are able to update the news very much more easily, so from now on there will hopefully be more to read of our many activities

The cemetery has been an inspiration to so many people – especially in the worst of the pandemic – being near to trees and nature has been a life-saver for many. Paths through the grass are worn from usage!
