Every Sunday we meet at the Reception House at 11 and garden for 1 hour. No prior knowledge is needed but it is helpful to bring gardening gloves if you have them.

We do a variety of jobs including weeding the central bed, pruning of same, and clearing invasive species in the grassland including green alkanet, goosegrass, Virginia creeper, Ailanthus suckers, bramble.

We weed around new trees, mulch them, and water them regularly for their first two summers during the months they are in leaf. For earlier plantings, we keep them weeded till they are established.
