Sunday October 19th 2008  Fungi walk at 3pm. A repeat of last year's successful walk and talk with Andy Overall. Meet at the gates nearst Barons Court underground station.

Past events organised by the Friends of Margravine Cemetery

• Guided tree walks in the Spring and Autumn - though autumn 2007 the walk will be replaced by tree planting instead
• A visit to the Borough archives where we heard a presentation on the history of the Cemetery
• Bat surveys
• Monthly bird surveys
• Flower identification walks and talks
• A squirrel drey (nest) count
• A joint talk given by the parks and community constabulary
• Participation in the biological survey for London (data on flowers bats and birds)
• Talk on some of the most interesting graves
• Fungi talk and walk
• Tree and hedge planting
• Working with the local primary school - a class of 10 year olds learnt about the cemetery and also helped with the hedge planting
• Weed clearance and mulching of the newly planted trees and hedging
• Visit to Kensal Green Cemetery
